In Oman, where freshwater resources are extremely scarce, seawater desalination is the lifeline of both industrial development and national livelihood. In the expansion of Oman’s Largest XXX Desalination Project, a high-efficiency and stable fluid control system was critical to ensuring the project's timely commissioning. As a global provider of professional fluid control solutions, bdvalvula successfully supplied core automated ball valves for the plant's high-pressure Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
Challenges of Harsh Conditions: The RO process in this XXX Project is extremely demanding for valves. Firstly, the ultra-high salinity of the seawater is highly corrosive to metal components. Secondly, to overcome osmotic pressure, RO piping operates year-round at high pressures of 60-80 bar. Finally, to ensure membrane flushing and process switching, valves must perform high-frequency automated switching operations.
